ChangeFest24 (CF24) took place on Latji Latji Country in Mildura, on the banks of the Murray River. Local hosts Hands Up Mallee and Connected Beginnings Mildura partnered with Collaboration for Impact to bring together people from community, service organisations, government, philanthropy, intermediaries, and researchers to learn about community-led systems change, including place-based approaches.
At its heart, ChangeFest centres Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and cultural authority, reinforcing the importance of cultural perspectives in shaping systems change.
Hosting CF24 provided an opportunity for Hands Up Mallee and its partners to showcase how local voices can connect our work to a broader national focus on community-led approaches to advance equity and inclusion. The event created meaningful connections and spaces for reflection and learning that inspired fresh ideas and new partnerships.
